The African Leadership Initiatives for Impact (ALII), in collaboration with HakiElimu, has launched the Tanzania NextGen Leaders Fellowship (TNLF), a transformative leadership development program focused on capacity building, mentorship, practical leadership experiences, and empowering young people to become change agents within their communities, the nation, and beyond.
The fellowship targets high school graduates aged between 17 and 19 years who have been identified by their schools as outstanding student leaders during the respective academic year. The program equips fellows with leadership skills grounded in national and global priorities, while leveraging the potential of young people to drive economic growth, foster innovation, and contribute to sustainable community development.
The second cohort of the Tanzania NextGen Leaders Fellowship (TNLF) is scheduled to take place from 8th – 20th September 2026 in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania (venue to be communicated).
In consideration of gender balance and sector representation, up to 10 fellows will be selected from high schools in each region of Tanzania Mainland and Zanzibar.
All costs related to accommodation, meals, training activities, and local transportation will be fully covered by the organizers.
High School / Form Six graduates from Tanzania, both private and public schools, who have been recognized as outstanding student leaders and awarded certificates of leadership achievement are invited to apply before 30th May 2026.
